Limestone project: US Embassy in Sto Domingo – Dom. Republic
SGM supplied a large embassy project located in Santo Domingo, in the Caribbean island of the Dominican Republic. The project was an American Embassy and consisted on the supply of limestone for cladding and exterior applications.
In total, it was supplied over 18.000m2 of Cabeca Veada limestone panels to cover exterior cladding and walls of the main building as well as surrounding walls of the compound. The limestone supplied consisted of panels with considerable thickness, such as 50mm, 80mm and 150mm, with honed surface and a special split-face surface finishing.
The final result is a beautiful cladding and exterior project, which blends in great harmony with the local environment. The split-face cladding gives the main building a certain texture and a very interesting style.
This is another reference embassy project that SGM supplies and we are currently on the process of supplying two more embassies located in Europe and Africa. We will soon give some news about these new projects.
